Creed (The Unfinished Hero Series) by Kristen Ashley

The Second book in The Unfinished Hero Series by Kristen Ashley, Creed will unlock every emotion you have. It will break your heart, make you mad, sad, happy, etc. There were times I wished I could reach in the book and slap someone or give someone a hug. The way Kristen wrote this book makes you feel as if you lived Creed and Sylvie's story right along with them. Again, just like the first book in this series it is an adult erotic romance with some very steamy scenes. If you are not into that, then this book is not for you.

At eleven years old Tucker Creed is living a nightmare. He lost his father a year ago and since then his mother has turned into a drunk and a whore or pays no attention to him, the whole town knows what she is and looks down on the both of them. He is alone in the world with no one to turn to until one night he meets six year old Sylvie.

Sylvie has lost her mother to divorce, her dad has remarried and her step mother is a drunk. Her controlling dad and step mother fight all the time, screaming and fighting so much than Sylvie sneaks out of the house to get away until its over. One night she is out in the woods and runs into Tucker Creed. They both realize they have alot in common, both with no one to turn to they form a bond, despite their age difference. As the years go on they grow closer and fall in love. They form a plan to run away as soon as Sylvie turns eighteen, they will leave and start a life together and never come back. Creed promises Sylvie that he will take care of her and protect her always. On the day of her eighteenth birthday she is waiting at the pier, where they are suppose to meet, but Creed never shows. She waits all day but her never comes. Many, Many years later they are thrown together again but it's too late, so much has happened in the sixteen years since she seen him last. She wants nothing to do with him, she won't even let him explain, what could have been more important than her, their love for each other and the life they had planned together? How could he just leave her to her nightmare and not protect her they way her promised? What happened to his Sylvie to turn her so hard, she isn't the same Sylvie from all those years ago?
