Tour Stop: Own The Wind: A Chaos Novel by Kristen Ashley Part One

Too hot to handle . . . Tabitha Allen grew up in the thick of Chaos-the Chaos Motorcycle Club, that is. Her father is Chaos' leader, and the club has always had her back. But one rider was different from the start. When Tabby was running wild, Shy Cage was there. When tragedy tore her life apart, he helped her piece it back together. And now, Tabby's thinking about much more than friendship . . .

Tabby is everything Shy's ever wanted, but everything he thinks he can't have. She's beautiful, smart, and as his friend's daughter, untouchable. Shy never expected more than friendship, so when Tabby indicates she wants more-much more-he feels like the luckiest man alive. But even lucky men can crash and burn . . .

The 2nd Book, The Fire Inside will be released on June 4, 2013

Review:

Let me start off by saying that I am in love with Parker "Shy" Cage! I want to wrap myself around him on the back of his bike and feel the wind in my face and just be free. I have to say that he has stolen the title of # 1 book boyfriend and that is no easy feat since I read ALOT and there are so many good books. Now I'm pretty sure I say this in all of my reviews for Kristen Ashley's books but it's the truth so I will say it again. She is the Queen of alpha males, the way they act, the way they talk, straight to the point, no sugar coating anything just makes me smile. I even find myself talking like that sometimes and my husband just looks at me and laughs.

I love Tabby in this book. She is strong and independent and she doesn't hold back. Life deals her some heavy blows but she keeps getting up and moving on, she is definitely Tack's daughter. My heart breaks for her over and over again. Shy has his own issues to deal with from his past and with Tabby. Things with them are all over the place. Sometimes you just want to scream and pick your heart up off the floor and other times you just want to slap someone, lol. True to Kristen Ashley form she will take you from reality and wrap you up in the story so much that nothing else exists until you finish.

About the Author:
Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA. She nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorize and she hadn't taken her first breath!).

Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.

Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

  4. If I could give this book more than 5 STARS I would. That is how well-crafted and written this story is. I've always loved Kristen Ashley's work and was apprehensive that a professional editor would rob the author of her unique style of storytelling. FOOLISH ME! With a gifted editor, Kristen Ashley has NOW become a ROCK STAR! Kudos to GCP for recognizing a diamond in the rough.
