Ashley's Favorites of 2012

I really don't even know where to begin. I have read so many great books this year that it's hard to pick just a few. Some of my favorites will be the same as Melissa's or as I call her, Moe. Our tastes are so similar we should be twins, lol. I know for sure what my top 5 favorite books are so I guess I will start there. I won't go into details about each book I will just explain why I love it so much.

My ALL TIME favorite book would have to be Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan. I love this story, love the raw gritty reality of the uglier side of life. Moe and I both agree that we could've been biker chicks in another life, lol. My emotions were all over the place while reading this and I love that in any book. I want something that will rock me to my core and this book definitely did that. Deuce is badass, knows what he wants and won't take no for an answer. Even though Deuce and Eva's love story is effed up it is my FAVORITE...when you love someone, you will do ANYTHING, go through ANYTHING, survive ANYTHING to be with them....This is their love story!

My 2nd favorite book would have to be Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire. Moe told me about this book and said I had to read it, she knew I would love it. Well she was right!! Travis Maddox is my number one book boyfriend, even though this book is listed as number two on the favorites, nobody will EVER replace Travis on the book boyfriend list lol. There is just something about a badass with TATTOOS and a shaved head that can kick any ones ass and is secretly smart and unpredictable. I am impatiently waiting for Walking Disaster, which is Travis's POV.

Okay, so this is another book that Moe said I HAD to read. If there is anything I love more than a bad boy, it's a ROCKSTAR!! So that's why How To Kill A RockStar by Tiffanie DeBartolo has landed in my 3rd favorite spot. This book is responsible for keeping me up ALL NIGHT, I think I slept maybe an hour (and even then, I dreamed about the book) before going to work the next day. At one point I was texting Moe (waking her up by the way) saying that if this certain thing happens I'm going to KILL HER for making me read this book. This is the first book I cried over...I am not a cryer, but this book brought on the water works, lol (when I say water works, I mean the whole damn water park). I admit since this book there have been others to cause me to shed a tear, but this was the first and you never forget your first, right?? Paul Hudson is also permanently in the top 5 on my book boyfriend list. I love that he knows who he is and refuses to be a sell out!!

My number 4 would have to be Thoughtless by S.C Stephens. I also loved Effortless so I'm gonna cheat a little bit and count them both as number 4 since they are a series. Kellan Kyle...mmm YUMMY!!! I picture the D-Bags to sound like Every Avenue (thanks to S.C. Stephens, I know she used them as inspiration). For most of this book, I wanted to slap Keira. I mean make up your mind girl, WTH!!! If I was her, it would have been Denny who??? I was made for Kellan Kyle ;)  I would say that he is also on my book boyfriends list but since he is Moe's number one, I will have to give him to her...Aren't I a GREAT friend ;D
Slammed by Colleen Hoover makes my heart smile and currently holds the number 5 spot on this list along with the 2nd book Point of Retreat. These books are the reason I now butterflyingly love The Avett Brothers. Will Cooper is another book boyfriend..I know what you're thinking..damn, she is a book whore!!! (My husband tells me this ALL THE TIME). After each chapter, Colleen quotes an Avett Brothers song. My favorite is: "I am sick of wanting And it's evil how it's got me And everyday is worse Than the one before." - The Avett Brothers, "Ill With Want"  This quote fits the book PERFECT!!

Okay, since you now know my top 5. I'm just going to list the book and author of some of the other books that I could read over and over again. I know that I will probably leave some books off by accident because like I said above, I have read SO MANY books this year so I may come back and add more.

The Secret of Ella and Micah by Jessica Sorensen
Fall From Grace by Christine Zolendz
Saving Grace by Christine Zolendz
