Bound Together is filled with many angsty moments that will make your toes curl and loads of steamy scenes. But don't go getting all pervy on me, it's also filled with lots of love and many moments that are epicly swoon worthy.....oh and music, loads of good music!
"One of your parents and Eric Clapton fan? That's a great song Layla." She said the last few words in a bit of a singsong and I knew exactly what she was talking about.
The walls were covered with old photographs of singers like Elvis and Johnny Cash.
"Let's sing this one!" Amy shoved a sheet of paper at me that had the music to the song 'Fading Like A Flower' by Rozette. I did love the song and I knew it well, but singing in the shower was one thing; singing it up on stage, in front of strangers, was another.
Every available space was covered in posters of different rock groups. The Ramones, Greenday, All Time Low, Muse and Nirvana were just a few that I recognized.
Beyonce's 'All The Single Ladies' echoed through the speakers. Jared began bobbing his head to the music and as the lyrics to the chorus began, he burst into song. He held up his left hand and began doing the dance....
As I reached the last table, a familiar song played loud and clear through the speakers: 'Crazy" by Aerosmith.
"Hi we're D.O.A. and we're gonna start with a song most of you will know. It's 'Iris' by the Goo Goo Dolls and it goes out to my girls in Room 21."
The music stopped and another song began to play: 'Heartbreak Hotel' by Elvis. He was clearly a fan.
Singing the sweet words of 'Love Me Tender' in my ear, his deep sensual voice sent shivers through my body and a tingle down my spine.
The heavy bass and loud beats of Bon Jovi filled the shop and we both belted out the lyrics as we danced around.
"Hi everyone, I'm Layla and these guys are D.O.A. Now usually Ollie would be the one standing where I am but since it's his birthday I promised one performance. SO this song is one of my favorites and tonight it goes out to a very special man in my life." Gazing down at Jared I smiled as Nick began drumming the intro to "This Kiss" by Faith Hill.
Ollie's guitar fired up and "Sweet Child Of Mine" by Guns N Roses echoed through the speakers.
The band started up and the beautiful melody of 'Wondeful Tonight' by Eric Clapton played through the loud speakers.
I could hear the sounds of Elvis booming from the kitchen. The song 'Are You Lonesome Tonight' echoed through the vast foyer.
Ollie laughed and glanced at Nick who simply shrugged and began to drum the intro to 'I Hate Myself For Loving You" by Joan Jett
"Oh Layla If I didn't love you before I do now! I love All Time Low!"
Loud and electrifying the intro to Meatloaf 'Dead Ringer For Love' started playing through the speakers.
"Take a cold shower and repeat by MC Hammer mantra". She roared with laughter. "MC Hammer?" I giggled. "Yeah, you know, can't touch this." Clutching her stomach she rolled on the floor laughing at me.
He was staring out the window and the hard hitting soulful voice of Amy Winehouse echoed over the sound system. The words hit me like arrows in the heart. Singing about still loving somone in the morning after a night of passion, he words could have been written about the two of us and I understoof the song choice immediately.
I stared at him as he sang the song 'In My Life' by the Beatles.
The song 'Cool Rider' played in my mind as we sped through the streets.
"So I figured we'd start with 'Need You Now' and just wing it? Maybe revisit that song we did at the park too? You game?"
I could hear the sound of "Duran Duran" as I stepped inside.
