Tour Stop & Giveaway: Stripped by Jasinda Wilder

Synopsis:
So how did I get myself into this situation, you ask? Simple: desperation. When you're faced with being homeless and hungry or taking off your clothes for money, the choice is easier than you'd imagine. That doesn't make it easy, though. Oh no. I hate it, in fact. There's nothing I'd like more than to quit and never go into another bar again, never hear the techno beat pulsing in my ears again, never feel the lecherous gazes of horny men again.

Then, one day, I meet a man. He's in my club, front and center. He watches me do my routine, and his gaze is full of hunger. Not the kind of desire I'm used to though. It's something different. Something hotter, deeper, and more possessive. I know who he is; of course I do. Everyone knows who Dawson Kellor is. He's People Magazine's Sexiest Man alive. He's the hottest actor in Hollywood. He's the man hand-picked for the role of Rhett Butler in the long-awaited remake of Gone With the Wind.

He's the kind of man who can have any woman in the entire world with a mere crook of his finger. So what's he doing looking at me like he has to have me? And how do I resist him when he looks at me with those intoxicating, changeable, quicksilver eyes?

I'm a virgin, and he's an American icon of male sexuality. I'm a stripper, and he's a man used to getting anything and everything he wants. And he wants me. I know I should say no, I know he's the worst kind of player…but what my mind knows, my body and my heart may not.

And then things get complicated.

Review:
I won't even try to lie to myself. I loved this book!! I was a bit skeptical at first because I have been in a major book funk lately, but this really helped to ease the pain of my funk, lol.

I went in not know what to expect. I never read a book synopsis, I go based on how well I like an author and on other reader recommendations. Ashley told me to read this one for the tour and I was just like okay simply because I know Jasinda is that awesome. Let me tell you...she did not disappoint with this one! I was so hooked from the beginning, I really love where the story started and where it took me.

Some people may say it seems cliche' to have a good ol preachers daughter turned bad. But to know why our heroine did what she did and how she came to do it, I didn't feel like it was cliche' at all. It made for a very interesting and heartfelt story. The emotions that this girl has over the job she is doing was almost too much to handle for this pregnant lady. I just wanted to hug her and be like you don't have to do this!!! But in reality of the story, she really did have to do it.

I know what you are all thinking. Not another girl that needs to be rescued by a rich man (yes, our guy is kind of Fifty-ish minus the dom, but that's not the point, lol), but seriously, it's so much more than that. There is an emotional connection to the characters and I really over looked the fact that our guy was super rich and that our girl needed to be saved. I was hooked just based on the character that they were and the situations that put them together, not the materialistic stuff.

Overall, this is an excellent book. I highly recommend it to any reader that enjoys a good contemporary romance with some really steamy scenes thrown in. Just be prepared to get a little hot for our guy and a bit emotionally attached to our girl. 4 stars.
